Jane's White Chili

 

      Yield: 10 Servings

 

      2 T  butter

      2 lb chicken,boneless, chopped

      2 md onions,chopped

      1 c  chicken broth

      8 oz green chilies

      2 cl garlic,chopped

      2 t  cumin

      1 t  oregano,dried

    1/4 t  cloves,ground

    1/4 t  cayenne (or more)

     48 oz jar of great northern beans

      3 c  monterey jack,shredded

 

Saute chicken, onions and garlic in butter until chicken is done.

Mix

in seasonings and chilies and saute for a few more minutes.  Add this

mixture with chicken broth and beans to crock pot.  Cook on low for

4-8 hours. Add cheese just before serving.
