Trail Blazers Chili

 

      Yield: 6 Servings

 

  1 1/2 lb ground round

  1 1/2 c  stewed tomatoes

      1    large onion,Chopped

      2    garlic cloves

      2 T  oil

      4 T  flour

      1 cn ranch style beans,optional

      3 T  chili powder

    1/4 t  cayenne

    3/4 t  oregano

      1 t  cumin

      1 t  salt

 

Soften onions and garlic in oil.  Add meat and brown.  Mix all

spices and flour in small bowl and add to meat mixture.  Stir and

cook until spices are absorbed.  Add tomatoes and 1 cup water.  Bring

to boil and simmer for at least 1 hour.  Add beans last 10 minutes.

If oil floats on top, slowly add more flour until it disappears.  Add

more chili powder if desired.
