American Red Cross First Aid Training

The American Red Cross offers first aid training and more to communities - workplaces - and for professional rescuers. These programs are designed to give you the skill and confidence to react properly in an emergency situation. This training is available to people of any age and can be customized to fit the needs of any individuals or groups as some groups work with children while others might want training for their employees. The American Red Cross offers top rate - high quality first aid training for all.

The American Red Cross offers so much in the way of first aid training they have developed what is known as The American Red Cross Advantage which eliminates people from using excuses as to why they can not take first aid training. This program is complete convenience because The American Red Cross will bring the class to you. They offer daytime - evening - and weekend classes with the option of becoming an authorized provider which allows you the benefit of training the rest of the staff yourself. The American Red Cross is a non profit organization so any fees that are charged for materials or resources are filtered right back into your community although they would be quite nominal.

The American Red Cross offers first aid training as advanced as you want it. They offer complete emergency preparedness in first aid - blood borne pathogens - CPR - AED - prevention - and community disaster. The courses are instructed by experts and all resources and materials are taken from the leading educational and medical experts.

They also meet all of OSHA's guidelines for first aid within the workplace. After each course is completed The American Red Cross will hand you a certificate of completion for your participation in their first aid courses. This is a great tool to add to any resume when you are looking for a job. And all of The American Red Cross first aid courses are available in both English and Spanish.

The American Red Cross offers first aid⁄CPR⁄AED courses for the community as well as schools. Using a combination of lectures - demonstrations - videos - practice - and hands on training - the course teaches how to recognize and respond to emergency situations of all types including cardiac arrest - breathing emergencies - heatstroke and hypothermia - poisoning - and bone injuries.

A lot of valuable information is packed into a short amount of time as most classes are completed within one day. For example to train in adult CPR with AED it is basically a 3 1⁄2 hour class - CPR training for children and infants is about 4 1⁄2 hours long - sport safety training is about 6 hours long which would likely be divided up over two course periods.

Babysitter first aid training is generally a six hour course - basic aid training is a course designed exclusively for 8-10 year olds and runs about 6 hours - the First aid for Children Today {FACT} course is designed exclusively for 5-8 year olds. And is the longest of the courses which introduces children to health promotion and injury prevention in a way that children of that age find interesting and fun - which allow them to better retain the knowledge that they have learned.
